T.S. Ardent | Bollington and Macclesfield Sea Cadets

The HMS Ardent Association Patron, HRH Duchess of Gloucester, GCVO, inspects sea cadets from T.S. Ardent at an annual reunion in Plymouth.

Sea Cadets are the UK’s largest maritime youth charity. 9000 volunteers support 14,000 young people (between 10 and 18) in 400 towns across the UK. Through nautical adventure they learn vital life skills like leadership, communication and team working and can earn extra qualifications which help boost confidence to give them a head start in life.

The Bollington and Macclesfield Sea Cadets, T.S. Ardent, have been part of the HMS Ardent Association since they also formed in 1982, their President is Admiral the Lord West of Spithead , GCB, DSC, PC who was the Commanding Officer of HMS Ardent in the Falklands war and is also the President of the HMS Ardent Association.
